Grief Support for Connecticut’s Children. The mission of Adam’s House is to offer no-cost grief education and peer support in a home-like setting to children and their families who have experienced the loss of a loved one. 1 in 11 U.S. children (6.4 million) will lose a parent or sibling by age18; that grows to 15.5 million by age 25. Adam’s House provides a safe, healing place as they go through an 8-week grief program, Helping Hearts Heal, to help them reclaim their future.
